The Nordic Brass Ensemble is an excellent group comprised of leading players from some of the finest orchestras in Scandinavia.
The ensemble is a result of the members wish to perform chamber music and to maintain the Nordic brass traditions. NBE’s concerts features music from several different historical periods. Most of the arrangements are written for the ensemble by its music director Hans Petter Stangnes and Stian Aareskjold.
NBE have comissioned and performed works by Norwegian and Nordic composers Ketil Hvoslef, Håkon Berge, Leif Segerstam and Jukka Linkola.
